Description: In recognition of Mental Illness Awareness Week, LTU adjunct psychology professor, psychotherapist, and Psychology doctoral trainee joins us on a discussion of how mental health and psychology are prevalent in every part of our lives. In this episode we touch on multiple different aspects of psychology and mental health. We discuss psychology degrees, stigma, what therapy really looks like, common misconceptions, and how culture shapes the way mental health is treated and understood. In the setting of LTU, college students face many struggles due to academic and personal stress. Understanding how it affects our wellbeing and day to day lives, as well as the steps we can take to help ourselves and others are all incredibly important.

She discusses what drew her into architecture, what the field involves, and the reality of the long studio hours. Her involvement in multiple extracurriculars is impressive. We discussed her involvement with KCP as a student worker, her involvement with NOMAS and AIAS, and her transition from a Student Government senator to Programming Director. She is also the co-founder and president of the emerging 3D Print Club at LTU. Through the episode, Dania explains how she is able to manage her heavy load and offers advice to students about architecture and campus involvement.

Description: Kaitlyn is a sophomore chemistry major, out-of-state student, hockey player, and student lab assistant. In this episode she reflects on her experience beginning college in a new state, the transition from highschool to college, being a residential student. and learning all the skills needed to succeed. Balancing the demand of a job, athletics, and a rigorous major is not easy and she shares her experience of how she learned time management and prioritizing her time. Being a chemistry major she talks about what made her interested in chemistry and how she plans to apply it to her future endeavors and career.
